Professional meetings
The Région Sud, host region of the Cannes Film Festival, together with its partners, is offering professional meetings on current topics in the film and audiovisual industry:

Young people’s cinephilia, regional film talents and entrepreneurs, regional film studios’ offers, a short-film writing residency, an international documentary festival press conference, pitches from a feature-film writing residency and from Kourtrajmé film schools, Festival de Cannes' eco-responsible approach, international influence through international writing residencies in the region and ideas on improving on-screen diversity.

Region Sud’s line-up in Cannes 2024

The Région Sud is the third French region for the number of filming days. Our regional fund aims at promoting creation in all its diversity: from screenwriting to post-production, we support feature films, animated films, documentaries, TV drama, immersive works, web-creation, videogames.

After the Palme d’Or in 2021 awarded to “Titane” from Julia Ducourneau, partly shot in Provence Studios (Martigues), this year 11 films and immersive works supported by the Region Sud have made it to the Cannes Film Festival selections :
