Professional Meetings

The Region Sud, host of the Cannes Film Festival, is hosting, in collaboration with its partners, professional meetings on current topics in the film and audiovisual sector:

Meetings between young people and cinema exhibitors, directors’ masterclasses, pitches from a feature film writing and film score residency, the announcement of the winners of a traveling short film writing residency, safety on film sets, updates on animation in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and meetings with high school students.

Region Sud’s line-up in Cannes 2026

The Region Sud ranks third among French regions in terms of the number of shooting days. Our regional fund aims to promote creation in all its diversity: from screenwriting to post-production, we support feature films, animated films, documentaries, fiction for television and platforms, immersive works, web-based creations and video games.

This year, 9 films supported by the Region Sud are selected for the Cannes Film Festival :
